Mossberg New Line.

Not sure why Duck Dynasty got the top billing for this instead of Duck Commander??
I have used Mossberg for a long time and found them very reliable in the mud and dirt..Im thinking this will be really good for Mossberg sales.
Now it looks like I just may have to add a few more to the gun cabinet this year since I was thinging about it anyways.. Was getting ready to pick-up a Browning BuckMark but will hold off now to see the 715p from Mossberg..This thing just looks fun.

Only in some circles. In the world of waterfowling Duck Commander is much better known. It has also been around a lot longer and has a very good reputation. It will likely out live the show by a long measure.

Those circles are miniature compared to the exposure using the duck dynasty name. Getting word out about the launch now has nothing to do with the future.

Duck Dynasty sells to the low end market. That market comes and goes, quickly. As soon as the TV show goes out of style the, brand will. Duck Dynasty will not stand the test of time. Duck Commander's lower end calls are considered good "starter" calls.

Their high end line, Duck Commander Cold Blooded Series, will be around if they stick with it and push it over the rest. It compares well with Zink and the better RNT calls. Glynn Scobey's calls were much better but he is dead. Tim Grounds calls are excellent.

If Duck Commander is to survive they must INCREASE the high end line and start to divorce themselves from the Duck Dynasty brand. If anything I would say that, in the long term, Duck Dynasty is holding back Duck Commander.

Maybe so, selling junk. IF the real brand is to survive, they must divorce themselves from DD. IF they do not, they will be like every other short term business, gone. They will end up like Herter's.

I wish them luck, but if they continue down that path they will find it will soon get very bumpy. My self, I will stick with the quality side of the game. It out performs the rest. When time on the water is limited I want every edge I can get.

Layout is looking at the Duck Dynasty / Duck Commander Brand as a "HUNTER" would.............

Giggi is Referring to them as AMERICA sees them..............

I am a "Hunter"..........But have never hunted "Ducks"..........so Duck Calls mean nothing to me.

I am also a "Couch Potato"...........and watch "Duck Dynasty" regularly.........

I know MORE about Duck Dynasty than I ever would about Duck Commander.......

So............Giggi has it nailed when he said "the dd name has made in a few years dwarfs what dc has made since its inception". True Duck Hunters, and not America as a whole, all over this country probably knew what Duck Commander was well before the Show started..............

Today...........Probably EVERYBODY in America knows what Duck Dynasty is................

I don't disagree, BUT, I am not looking at it short term. DD will die, as will Duck Commander, if they pin their hopes on DD. Fads come and go. DD is a fad. It will fade, just as every fad does. The faster it burns bright, the faster it will fade.

IF I were to buy duck calls, which I don't use, I would be looking at Zink, Grounds, Lynch, RNT, or the high end Duck Commander calls. Duck Commander is at a cross roads. I wish them luck.

Well after what reading I did today the only mention of dynasty I can find is from the news feeds that brought the Mossberg merger/commission or whatever ya wanna call it into the news feeds..Mossberg makes no mention of Dynasty so that kinda tells me most newscasts don't research what the morning news brings??

I agree with Layout that they need to distance themselves from the garbage of Duck dynasty.As with any hunting/outdoor activity there is no room for anything but the best of equipt. I have no use for stuffed ducks from walmart with the A&E name tag on them from Walmart or the Pilot. Most of it if not all of it will end up in the garbage,,Right where the show should go in my opinion.
I was really hoping the family would have pulled out of the show on that last media blitz. But it didn't happen.
As Phil says we are Designed to kill Ducks.
Not watch TV like a bunch of house wifes...LOL

Just like most so called "reality" shows, it is not written to improve our brain power. I have seen it a couple of times. Some was mildly funny, most was silly. It did nothing to improve my waterfowl hunting skills, so I did not see the point in watching it.
