Couple of questions here. If he was on the hood why did it take 5 or 6 shots? Why is the car perfectly parked in the street as if the was sitting there wondering what was going on while firing? Is it possible she was moving slowly when BP jumped on to hood breaking windshield? All the holes from the shots are in the same area of glass that he supposedly landed on.

I smell bs and a bunch of crooked LEO.

maybe training fire until your sure the threat is no longer a threat

Well, assuming he was using agency approved ammo it is very bad at penetrating barriers, like glass, even at close range. It very well could have taken multiple shots to stop the driver. She was hit 5 times, at least according to some accounts.

The damage looks exactly the same as broken glass from a heavy body hitting it, as some speed. I have seen that same type of damage many times when a deer, or human body, hit a windshield.

I don't know what happened, BUT, that agent is entitled to HIS Constitutional rights.

IF the shooting is bad, then every step must be taken to prosecute him. Right now, until proven other wise, it is only an investigation.

I can't debate you on this, but just wonder what's your take on this situation?

I wonder if she had a reason to believe he wasn't an agent but a thug. Was he wearing a uniform? Did he identify himself as an agent? How? Did he identify himself as an agent via a uniform and/or announcement and/or display of credentials and then still take actions that would make her decide that she had to defend herself?
But if he was properly identified and if he wasn't taking any action that would negate his right to be free from assault, if the Border Patrol's account is accurate, then I'd say he had no choice and was right to use lethal force.

The 2 or 3 percent of cops that are bad give the 97 to 98 percent of good cops a bad name just like the 2 or 3 percent of good lawyers suffer due to the 97 to 98 percent of bad lawyers.

The crooked cops give the other 5% a bad name.

Fixed it for you.

It is also possible that she not only knew he was a border patrol agent but drove into him because of his status.

Cops have been targets for every vomit breath bum out there for a very long time. Even Obama's bud tried to kill a few. I can understand how they may be a bit quick to shoot. It goes both ways.

There is only one (1) person who knows what happen and its the Agent.. If you rely on the
witnesses accounts you will get 5 different accounts from 5 different people. Not one will give a accurate account because it did not happen to them. I thing some have beat the Police issue to death.. If you are not happy with life in the USA move to Russia or next time someone puts a gun to your nose and takes your money report it to a hippie. If you think being a Policeman for 22 years was easy try it. Let the investigation take its course.

I don't believe the police issue has been beat to death. The way I see it there arent any andy griffiths left out there. As of late there are too many reports of police brutality for me to not have my guard up when being pulled over. I can't say that I trust them entirely and I feel if something were to happen putting my family in danger I would trust my instincts before putting trust in a uniform.

I see lots of "Andy" types out there. Changing tires for older people. using their lights to protect people who have car problems, running out on the expressway, into traffic, to remove junk in the road.

Yes, there are bad cops. Problem is, for the most part, that is all that is reported. The other stuff is not reported. It can skew attitudes.

It's the badge lickers that should move to Russia, or Cuba, or North Korea, or Venezuela, somewhere where authority isn't to be questioned. They'd fit in there. The bad-apple cops--most of the current ones--should also move there, being as those places fit in with their militaristic view.
If anyone forced you to be a cop, report them so they can be prosecuted. If you became one willingly, you accepted the risks that went along with it, without violating anyone's rights.
