The place I run for doesn't classify "c" units, but I think FedEx did it something like this when I ran there..
16-18 foot box good for 6 pallets, 5000lb. load capacity. There are a lot of trucks out there, big or small, you could set up to do this on anything from a cube van chassis up to a class 8 tractor chassis.
Maybe a current FedEx'er can set you straight on what C unit rates are now.

Our truck is what the biggies would classify as a "C" (International 4700 w/16 foot box), but the smaller company we're leased to doesn't pigeonhole trucks and gives us some lighter "D" loads. We can handle up to 8 standard skids flat which the 14 footers can't do.
also if you watch the truck you buy and get the gvw under 26,000 lbs
you don't have keep track of miles you run in each state to
also if you watch the braking system on the the truck
you won't have to get air brake endosment on your cdl,
you will have the hdyralic brake system with air brooster
also there right on that at fedexcc a c unit is 5,000 lbs
on my c unit is heavy duty and rated at 33,000, has airbrakes
on it with air ride, 102" wide and 102 door opening
all it has to be is 98" wide and 98" door opening

way, under the loop hole is was using to do that was change by the
city, navy call my truck a rec vch with a cargo box and rec vch
you could parking in drive way, now i have a place to park it
