Well its been awhile since I last stopped by and it looks like most cases things are picking up in the expediting world.

If any of you ever get to Fort Wayne, Indiana give me a call or stop by our terminal and we can have some good ole' home-town coffee.

Bye the way, the other thread that was stating Panther was cleaning house is kind of wacked.

Why not, why shouldn't they clean house of those operators that are just clinging on, taking space and heck that cost Panther money to have these people hanging around not carrying their own weight.

Just my thought - stop by anytime!

Sorry, but it doesn't cost panther 1 cent to have these drivers sitting around in parking lots waiting on a load, but it does cost the O/O money to be sitting around. Even though these drivers are sitting around waiting, panther is still making money off of them.

Well it wasn't too long ago someone had figured out that they are clearing about 1 million a year just off of qualcom fee's not to mention start up costs and the extra they make off of insurance and other fee's.

Must only have 1500 pieces of equipment out there to only make that much. Believe it's named 'float" or, sumpin like that. Y'all better not continue to dwell on how much "they" (the enemy) are making. Better get in there and help yourself to some. IF you can get past the other.

shake - Yes, it does cost them. If they are paying for any insurance (cargo, or public liability) to have that truck on with them then they are spending something with nothing coming in from a dog that wants to pick a choose every load. They also if nothing else would have labor hours tied up into every empty truck just to 'keep them on the books.' For those of you with business sense you know what I mean and for those of you with no business sense that is why you are sitting and complaining and not rolling and making money.

jam- As far as the ad budget, not an issue, as we spend our money wisely on various Job sites built to attract Owner-Operators. I wouldn't mention them here because it would be a disservice to this site to plug other sites. Yes, I will place ads here down the road, but for now, I am building the local terminal up with OTR Owner-Operators with flatbeds and dry vans rather than Expedited haulers.

We move about 20-24,000 miles per week out of here so business is slowly picking up for this new location.

Any hoot - if you get to Fort Wayne give me a call, we'll have some coffee.

I am wondering where you got your business experience from?

I have a lot of business sense, had several, one with a lot of employees but I still don't see what you are getting at.

Where did you get your MBA at?

Wouldn't that be funny if you were talking about ppl with no business sense, and you have none yourself? How do you know if you have any? Is there a t-shirt that says "I have business sense. Trump told me so!"?

Greg... think I have the answer to your last question...

Ok, first things first.

Dragonlady - No, there is no here we go again thing that is going to take place here. I voiced my thoughts and they voiced theirs. But, for some reason some of these yo-yos think a company can keep contractors on and its not costing the company a dime to keep them in their system. Thus my comment.

Now, highway star - what is it with you and all this union talk. No - no union here, no reason for it, we actually care about our Owner-Operators. I kind of treat my Operators how Dragonlady treats her's and how she treats people in general. And for those that know her - you know what I mean.

greg - no MBA here, I am more of a UFC guy.......(now that is funny)

Speaking of funny - Hawk, that whole cracker jack thing cracks me up. Just went to Subway for lunch then went to the little grocery next door. MAN THEY HAD A BOX OF CRACKER JACKS!
Dude, I had to do that in honor of your humor.....

Overall - good today is a great day!
