Missing Topic

Anybody know what happened to the Newfoundland topic. I was wondering if they made the ferry back to Nova Scotia for their Halifax run. I can't seem to locate that topic.

The members trips were reviewed by an EO moderator and a Fedex management official and it was determined that they were a hoax.
If something changes, it will be posted.

Cynthia and I thought it was odd when they mentioned FECC was paying for "all miles" on the trip as everyone knows they pay % of the gross but who are we to 2nd guess?

You folks and many others. There were many other descrepancies in other posts as well.
That is what got it questioned originally.
Too many experienced expediters on here to pull off the "Grand Illusion"

Well regardless what the intentions were, I liked to hear about that part of Canada and now put that on my want to do before I croak list or for a travel log of some sort.

Seeing my in-laws are from Maine and French Quebec, I have more weight with the wife for a trip like that than I would to go to the west coast to enjoy... well ... whatever can be enjoyed.

Oh well, threads come and go.........

Greg: Regarding your post, You must be a dispatchers nightmare, if you have to check with the bride before you make a run. Or, do they just call her with a load offer?

Well.... I don't know what to say. I think I wasn't clear about it.

The issue for me is that I want to go on a vacation with the wife to that part of the country and justifying a trip camping and enjoying the outdoors instead of Vagas or SF. She does not travel with me at all, even ride in the van - the first thing I did when the van was pickedup was remove the front seat because it had no seat belt and haven't put it back since.

As for a dispatchers nightmare, nope not at all - just the opposite but she would be.

Well, some people do things like that. Team drivers2 Would make a great writer for Truck driving loads that never happened. He had us all fooled at 1st even myself, until I got a call from a dispatcher at FedEx asking me to find out the so called truck number of this truck. Dispatch said that there is no truck at FedEx that was on a load to Newfoundland. They seen I had posted on there and wanted me to post something on there because FedEx will not let them post anything on EO. So I did and I E-mailed Terry about it. Terry Checked it out and took the steps he needed too.

You are correct on the storytellers. Myself and others think it is a real diservice to the new members seeking accurate and reliable information prior to entering the industry. Many times these people are taking on extensive debt, leveraging homes, and quiting jobs to do this.
What they don't need is dream story runs from South America to Iceland, we average $3.00 a mile for all runs, or yes you are well on your way to being a millionaire trucker.
Those kinds of bs posts are only designed to stroke someones ego. More often than not, the authors.

I thought that story plus the so called Mexico trips were bogus. To me it was a prank trying to rub it it in that the authors were making mega bucks while the rest of us peons sat and did nothing. Wonder why Team drivers have not responded.

Careful folks, I got banned from this site for about a year because I posted true facts about a situation after trying for several weeks to work it out in private and they refused.

This is not a message board, its a site for making money and the money comes from the companies, not the little people like the drivers and owners of the trucks.

I sent Dave a request to delete my previous post. While what I said was the truth, I think that I painted all of PII with the brush that I wanted to paint the dispatcher with. I feel that I painted a picture of PII that was not acurate, dispatcher yes PII no.

Don't post until you calm down, after I read my posts and explained in detail why I was pi$$ed, I found I just needed to vent and know that every once in a while you get the wrong end of the stick.

Thank you for your support and offer of help. and thanks Dave for removing that thread.
