Missing Hot air ballon

Last night a hot air ballon hit power lines and caught fire, which set it very high in the air. It is missing and a searvh is underway, please keep an eye out when driving in the following area.


The people jumped out and are missing as wel.

Ruthers Glen, VA near the Doswell American Plaza off I95. Due to high wind busts, it is unknown how far the ballon went.

Dont think it made it as far as Federickburg, Ashland, Tappahanak, or Unionville VA.

Nearby roads, US RT 1, I95, RT 522, Rt 17, rt 301, rt625, Rt 658, rt 739, rt 684, and other small roads.

The last report I read says that two of the bodies have been found. The balloon, basket and the pilot are still missing as of the report I read just a few moments ago.

It appears that the two passengers either fell or jumped from the basket after it caught fire, but the balloon was already too high up to survive a fall from that height.

It is a VERY horrible way to go. One can only imagine the terror. How sad.
