lifted this from the chicago tribune not much to go on but fore warned...............
Meanwhile, the weather service has issued a "special weather statement," warning of a significant winter storm that may affect portions of the Midwest Wednesday through Christmas Day.
Although it's too early to say exactly how bad the storm will be, the weather service expects it to move in south of Interstate 80 Wednesday morning, bringing precipitation in various forms that will spread north as the day goes on.
"It's just going to be just a different mix of sleet, snow and freezing rain," said Nathan Marsili, a meteorologist with the weather service's Chicago area office. "We're mainly just concerned about the sleet and freezing rain making roads hazardous."
