I have a friend that I would like some one to sit him down and tell him not to do this if I could.I told him to come to this site, because I see him getting the shaft, maybe. He writes to me :what do you think about this one? i will drive for someone else a van they say i get 75% with that i have to pay for fuel and repairs which they say is around 35% then i get the other 40% for my paycheck. Now I'm thinking maybe wrong...Why would a fleet owner pay a driver 75 percent if that driver was driving his van, paying for fuel, and he has to pay for repairs to the van????? I thought that was the responsibility to the fleet owner??? Does anyone know about Midwest Expediting ? Thank you !

Not seeing the good or the bad, just the ugly.
Tell him to come on EO and do a little research BEFORE he becomes another industry casualty.

RUN FOR THE HILLS!!
Your "friend" better do more research. LOTS OF QUESTIONS!!

Owners contracted rate? Fuel surcharge fixed or varying?
Tolls? Empty miles? Detention time? QC or not?
Insurance cost? Canadian border crossing? Hand load/unload?
Dry run pay? Total fleet avg miles/week?
If truck breaksdown,
Driver pays repairs?...Never. Also, who pays
Wrecker? Housing while brokedown?
And the list goes on and on....

Know nothing about Midwest, but I avoid that owner like Black Plague
