A soldier from a reserved MP unit in Jackson, MI was injured in Afghanistan when the humvee he was in hit a IED, that was either known by or not pointed out by the Afghan police. The IED was over 1000lbs of explosives. Paul had a 'non-bleeding' head injury. One of several he has had in his multiple tours in war zones. He is also missing parts of one calf and on bicep from another IED blew up the humvee he and my nephew were in when they were in Iraq. Keep in in your prayers. ONCE the army releases names I can say more.

The shrapnel etc, was stopped by the humvee. The brain injury is a different story. It is the fourth or fifth non-bleeding tramatic brain injury for Paul.

The IED they ran into in Iraq was 4 155MM H.E. arty rounds wired together. It was during that action that my nephew earned his bronze star for valor.

He should have never been sent back. He is NOT being sent home and is now back out on patrols. He is already starting to have problems. It is hard to for me to imagine the concussion from an explosion like that. My nephew told me it is enough, if the victim is not shielded by a vehicle or something, to liquify the internal organs.

Paul is very good people. I hope he can function years from now.

We have been trying, so has he. I will tell you one thing, these FAR different times than when you and I were in. The things that THIS administration are doing to our service people is hard to fathom. Then again, maybe not. They believe that vets are a threat, what better way than too........................ Not to mention the HEAVY HEAVY drugs they are loading these guys up on. It is criminal.
