Michelin's see thru tire

I don't have a clue as to whether or not this would be a good investment but, in my opinion, this tire is the UG in ugly.

Airless according to the link. That should put an end to flat-tire problems. I wonder if the clear sidewalls are going to be on tire we buy, or are they just to show us what's inside the tire for marketing purposes.

EDIT: Apparently, no sidewalls at all now that I look a little closer.

Question: Is this just for cars, or are they going to make these in truck sizes too?

Who knows how R&D will go on these...thinking I may have to hunt down my old spoke wrench from childhood...LOL

Glad I saw the article. Had I seen them on the road otherwise, I'd try to flag down thee driver to tell him something's wrong with his tire.

2012: Ron Paul or not at all.
The lesser of two evils is still evil.

I love the technology behind 'em and I'm sure Michelin has done ALOT of testing on the tires. I can't help but envision a car that parks in the afternoon, maybe one tire is in some water deep enough to fill through the open spaces. The water freezes overnight..now what happens? What happens driving in snow?

Don't worry about that!

After all..

They didn't ;)

While I don't see myself running out and buying a set. I might want one as a spare. never have to worry about the spare being flat at 2 am in BFE.
