If this goes thru, Im done unless I am sitting at home with a empty tank. There is nowhere in Michigan I can not go and get out of on 1 tank. Every state line has fuel stops before entering the state. (Fluctuating my eye once it place it will never go away.)

In providing a more detailed plan to fix ailing roads and bridges, Snyder proposed increasing the 19-cents-a-gallon gasoline tax and 15-cents-a-gallon diesel tax to 33 cents for both, with the tax fluctuating after a couple years depending on fuel consumption and construction costs.

It could be worse. One person I spoke to yesterday had mis-read the story, she thought the governor was proposing a 3 dollar tax increase on gas. Now, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what would happen if the state did that. Overnight, Michigan would be a ghost town as businesses fled the state for greener pastures elsewhere. Everybody who could leave, would leave. The tax increase actually proposed is bad enough, you can get gas anywhere else as it is for less than Michigan will be charging.

They are looking at all kinds of different ways to pay for roads and bridges. The first step should be to use 100% of the money that comes in now for that reason and only that reason. It still would likely not be enough but we would have a much better idea on what we need to do then.

IF most everyone one was to leave I would have more room to hunt! Fishing would be better too!
