I have been asked to explain what has caused me to be in such a wounderously happy mood, what with working etc. So, I must relate the story: As I entered a store to do Christmas shopping, a kindly person held the door for me. I responded to this kindness with a load "Merry Christmas to you" ! At this, this person immedately began to close the door and stated "excuse me but don't you know it isn't proper to say Merry Christmas anymore?"
To which I replied " I'm sorry, I'm a truck driver by profession, and as such usually ill informed about politically correct changes in our society." This person immediately went on to say: The proper phrase to use is "Happy Hollidays", and immediately walked off leaving me to open my own door. So, to be in the proper politically correct position I again wish everyone out there a MERRY CHRISTMAS, oops there I go again. Jack
