Over the mountains and through the snow
To Beals Island Maine I go
My truck knows the way
More dependable than a sleigh
I'll be home for Christmas Day.
Too many cars need to get out of my way
I've places to go and no time to stray
Just an hour or two to finish up shopping
And off to the Island for cozy wood stove fire corn popping
I passed Santa, left him behind
Blew him a kiss and told him I'd been kind
to all my friends and family this year
Promised him the grandkids and I will make cookies for his reindeer
I have one wish, just only one
