I've got a bit of down time as my truck sits in Columbus waiting for a new transmission to arrive. Has anyone else had a premature failure with this trans or heard of it happening? I hope this isn't like the 7-speed deal...

a Mercedes auto shift? Or is this an Eaton 3 pedal autoshift. I have a 10 speed autoshift.
It is a Mercedes trans and it has no clutch pedal.

does it have paddle shifts on the steering wheel? 
The paddle is on the column opposite the blinker lever.

The truck has 161k on it, and I had the fluid changed at somewhere around 90k. After having that done, the service manager at another dealer said I would have been good to go for about 3 years because of the synthetic fluid. I had it changed at Stoops in Indy and I didn't specify what I wanted put in it, I just expected them to put in the proper stuff. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that this shouldn't be an ongoing problem. Thanks.
