OK, not really there but I was thinking it might be interesting to have a thread where people post their next stop when they'll be sitting for a while. If more than one is going to be there they could put a face and voice with the posts.

It might not be feasible because it would make more work for the moderators to keep discarding the older posts so it doesn't get unmanageable and they have a lot of work to do already but just an idea I thought I'd throw out and see what happened.

Great idea, except for the stalkers out there in computer land! LOL.. we would need a time stamp to show what is accurate. You never know this might work for the weekend layovers.

Yes, weekends would be more likely to have the longer wait time and be more likely to work. It's just an idea I had of a way to meet some of the regulars who have been so helpful and thank them in person.

Well, I know where I will be Monday. I am picking up in San jose Ca tomorrow afternoon and delivering to El Segundo,Ca then gonna hang out at the T/A in Ontario. So if anyone in S Calif, come on by and look for the green KW T-300 with reefer and Fed Ex CC logo. Jack Dixon, DR4270

You know Leo there is a lot of merit in what you said. Perhaps a board could be established that updates every midnight and EO Members could post their location for that day. Beats sitting around Walmart.

Hi Leo,
I think that is a great idea too but wonder about the timing of it too.

We arrange to meet up with people all the time out here! It is really cool to meet up with people face to face...we have gone to various places while on weekend runs with people too. For example, we have met up with others and went to Grace Land, Casino's, restaurants...etc

In addition, a lot of us have sprint phones and can call each other free so we keep in touch that way too...

I'm picking up a load near Little Rock, AR on Monday and will be delivering in Columbus, OH on Wednesday morning. I also have Sprint. If anyone wants my #, send me a PM and I'll get it to you. I might have a load to pick-up in OH on Thursday going to TN, so I may have to lay over a day.

i think that is a great idea one thing we should do is have it password protect and have a code word so you would know that is person who you are going to meet and not someone you don't want to meet just for saftey

We can have a seperate board - Just like the General Forum, Truck Talk etc., it could be called Layover Zone or something like that.
