No, Turtle, you miss my point, as per normal. I said experience. a three star is not needed, a two star would just fine. Excuse me for having an opinion.

Hey Joe..you are excused...;)

I heard Obama's speech about this incident...he sounded genuinely concerned..he called it a terrorist act.

Yea ... right ... concerned ... I think he has shown the world that he had to get briefed, then had a speech written for the TP and then arranged a full press conference was about concern.

Come on Greg..isn't that the protocol for most Presidents? Do you think they really wing it?

Instead of getting briefed he should have watched Fox news then make the speech?

Even though this is a small event in comparison to some of the others but you haven't watched other presidents when something happened?

I even think Clinton had the audacity to "wing it" with some events and did well with out staging the event to make him look like the messiah to assure the people they are safe.

Sorry OVM, he did nothing right concerning this attack on the United States. I give him credit for one thing, his stupidity is at least consistent.

Let's run this down.

This man is not an "alleged" terrorist, he is an enemy combatant that committed an "act of war" against the United States.

He is going to be tried in a civilian court. Wrong move. He did not rob a liquor store he attacked a civilian airliner with the intent of bringing it down. His known intent was to kill as many Americans as possible.

As an enemy combatant he is not entitled to a civilian trial or a U.S. taxpayer paid lawyer.

If Obama was really the Commander in Chief he would have been on the TV within minutes of the first briefing he had once the attack was confirmed. He would have been speaking not about reviewing the system, he would not have used the term "alleged" either. He would have called this exactly what this is, an act of war by an enemy combatant.

As an enemy combatant he should be put up before a military tribunal, then according to the Geneva convention, shot. He was an enemy combatant, not in uniform, captured on the battlefield. Don't try the "this is not a battlefield "stuff" either. Tthe enemy combatant took it upon himself to make that airliner the battlefield.

He was not acting alone either. He was acting in concert with a known terrorist group, with known support of the Soviet Union, China, Syria and Iran. This war that we are fighting is being fought not only against the front line terrorists but also against the Nation States that are supporting, funding and directing these attacks on the United States.

A "Commander" would look at this in that light and act accordingly. Obama is not a commander, is not qualified for the job and should leave it.

We need someone who believes in this Nation, and is willing to defend it. I mean, after all, he did take an oath to do exactly that. So on top of everything else, he has proven that oaths mean nothing to him.

We are at war, while it was not started on his watch, he is now 100% responsible for fighting it. Fighting it to win. This attack is just more proof that we are at war. Make no mistake, this enemy intends to destroy this Nation, why is Obama not doing everything to stop them? Instead,he is treating them as common criminals.
