May 2 - Laramie, WY

We are stuck at a Petro in Laramie, WY today. I 80 is closed due to snow/ice and trucks are everywhere - parked and waiting. It is snowing so hard and the wind is incredible. We feel like we are in our own little igloo! Who would've thought? May 2nd! Must be Global Warming!!

LOL DD...I was thinking the same thing!

Hey India...sounds like a good movie night to me. We're sitting here in Fargo, ND the wind is howling but at least the temp is in the 50's

Man......I think summer is just a figment of someone's imagination. ALMOST makes me yearn for Arizona..but then I just turn the oven up to 475 and stick my head in....voila! no more home sickness!

Wasn't Laramie the place that they had snow in July in the '70's?

I remember an uncle going back to his homestead and getting snowed in, missing his daughters graduation from medical school.

I remember being stuck in Laramie for 3 days once cause the fuel trucks could not get through, and there was none available in town.

That was back mid nineties, and at the time trucks were parked everywhere, and the police, and town people were very nice. Hope they have not changed.

Of course, how many scale houses do they smile at you and offer you free coffee and cookies?
