Max Automotive Van?

Anyone have any experience with the Max Automotive vans out of Mt. Juliet, TN? I just saw their post on EO tonight and we have time to run down there in the AM before our job starts tomorrow afternoon. We have been looking at the CargoMax vans in Ok. and are still on the fence. Also, which vans get better mileage. The Chevy chassis or the Ford. The Chevy is the 6.0 forgot to look at which Ford engine is being offered. Anyway, we will know more tomorrow once we are able to put our hands on one.

The weights of each unit listed on the web site are the same for SWR and DWR. So we need more info.

Hope everyone gets more miles this week than they want. Safe travels to all and to all a good night.

I know enough to know that if you are looking at a 2010 Cargo max from Josh in Okla you will pay les for it then you will the Max group...I'll be picking mine up March 18th...

I have talked to Josh several times and we may head his way this weekend if we get the chance. We have some other commitments so it is still up in the air. I liked the Ultramax pretty well. As with anything, there is good and bad. I have seen better fiberglass work but I'm not buying a Donzi more like a Bayliner. I hope you enjoy yours and put a million miles on it before you have to replace a tire. Keep us all posted on yours.

Thanks.

lol, Turtletop and a Bayliner....I like that comparison....:)

I did like the "vent" system on the Max group vans...the CargoMax doesn't have that...

I liked the vent system and the L track at the top of the wall as well as about 4' off the floor. This would help secure a bulkhead in place and give you total flexibility where to set the bulkhead. I also like the finish on the floor but don't know how well it would hold up. The total price quoted on the UltraMax was about $42,000. They also offer financing. Payments can be as low at $650 more or less (on a lease). Most likely they would be higher. Can't imagine financing for an extended period of time on an item that maybe used up in 5 years but they will go longer. Not real big on leases either. Kinda neat ride and liking the chevy chassis better than the MB as far as parts and service. Anyway, did not buy one. Have the info on them if anyone wants to know more. Send me a pm. I will give ya my 2 cents worth. Got carried away and starting to sound like a sales rep. Time for this fat kid to shut up and read other posts.

For anyone interested there are 2 of these TurtleTop UltraMax vans at Ed Schmidt GMC in Perrysburg Ohio. Both are 2010's, 1 is a SRW with no side doors and it is $47,799 and the other is a DRW with shelfing inside and is $53,799...both are 6.0 6spds and loaded chassis...the DRW is 12,300 GVW, not sure about the SRW, it is is 10,000 or the 12,300 GVW....

I am not advocating or suggesting anything one way or the other, just letting people know what they can see them....
