MATS 2016 thoughts. I wonder if the true figures of attendees will be released? Since it was not busy from Wednesday to Saturday I was able to walk 25.12 miles.

As an attendee this year it was easy to get around all three days as the crowds were very sparse and even sparser then it was in 2009

The aisle seemed to be bigger as we could get around so easy but that could have been an illusion.

One wing seemed to be only trailers and I must admit that I got lost in that wing and I went round and round and almost had to call for help to get out! I have never seen so many trailers that were huge with a lot of axles.

Part of one building was blocked off and in front were a lot of tables which was great for attendees to meet with other people and visit as the tables were never full.

Papa Johns parking this year was pretty easy to get into and had a lot of empty spaces even with areas blocked of for groups to gather.

I am curious how the couple of charities did serving food? I know Cause we Can had the most amazing food I have ever had at a truck show with the first night being fresh Maine Lobster and Steak and every meal after that was just as fantastic. One other vendor had each meals proceeds going to a different charity and they were very slow. Rumor has it that there will be no charities serving food at Papa Johns next year and that is hard to imagine.

Our Trucking Solutions Walk last year in the freezing cold was about double the size it was this year.

Over all I found MATS to be vacant but for us we had the time to see a lot of friends and catch up with each other. That to me was the best part of MATS was at Papa Johns swapping stories.

I was there wed and thursday and agree the crowds were smaller. With not having the major truck manufacturers present, they still filled the spaces.
