This place has been like a cemetery since last month just after the layover pay change was released. It seems like no one wants to post about any load issues. Would love to hear from you straight truck teams.........whats going on?

It's been slow start to the year, but it usually picks up about the middle of March. Also it's been a little quite as of late here but it's been busy over on Facebook.

Me also, we joined FB cause we wanted the use of posting pics of trucks when we need drivers but it is a bit much as we were expecting !!!!!!!!

Well good morning/afternoon everyone! After my delivery Wed morning I've rested up and I'm ready to rock and roll. Hoping something will happen today or definitely tomorrow.

It's slow for sure for everyone. Rates are a bit down and not alot of loads for everyone. It's frustrating for sure but we all have got to hang in there. It will pick up.

All we have been offered has been a short mileage solo sprinter run or two. Guess the sprinters showing in the area don't even want them and those runs can't feed two drivers.........again can't seem to close on the 1 to 2 bid offers we got calls about......arrg! The last 2 months have killed us but the last week has picked up. Heading to El Paso tomorrow. We're new at this expedite game, came down from TT back in November, knew it would be slow but not thus slow.

I guess I missed that memo. So Sprinter type vehicles no longer get layover pay? Am I reading that right?

Correct. There was one or two QC messages about it, and you can see it in a document on Fleetvision under Documentation -> Company Docs (where they think .doc are somehow preferable to PDF files

Thats.....what we need, more driver to driver communications! Keep it up!! Thanks for the feedback and FB has its purposes but this forum is for us.....lets keep it that way.....yeah mon! Finally got a load out of Atl and on the way to Connecticut and it was a team load (omg).......i could kiss everyone involved in closing on that bid......thank you! Lets hope it picks up has we get into mid March! DRIVE SAFE..
