Just visited Rand McNally's Web Site, Need some advice, The Deluxe Map spiral, stain proof Extra Large print. Would you find this the best investment over the less expensive maps. Does anyone use any other map that works better? Will be using Delorme with a PC and also have a Megellin.

Hi Broompilot-

We use the Rand McNally's spiral laminated regular size print atlas that you can get a Flying J for $30.00. The laminate seems to keep it in better shape. Our good friends bought us the more expensive large print non glare edition and it proved to be more of a hassle for us than it was worth. Some states had like four pages or more making it very hard to follow routes across it. We were constantly flipping pages back and forth. In addition, it didn't have any Canadian maps. The city map inserts were great though...

We also use Delorme with the GPS and this seems to be the best we have found. We also use Microsoft Streets...this program is less complicated.
