hi, jax7, i put 10% in my fund. on my deadhead miles, i put $.05 per mile in. so, 10% loaded and 5cpm on deadhead. this way i can cover all my maint on my trucks, but some people might put diff amount. this works for me, but it works. good luck, :9 :9 :9

I look at my truck as my partner. I go as high as 40% and I kept the 60%. I know some of you can't do it that way,but to be fair I would say 20 to 30 is a good number. I try to kept the same percentage wheter or not I have a good week or bad because maintance and brake downs doen't know the differance. Hawk

I just plan on 1/5th of my weekly gross. It dose not always happen because....well, it depends on wheather I get the checks before the Wife dose!...lol! Even though this is High ,I have never had to use my Credit Cards for maintenance, Thank Goodness. I'm nearing the decision weather to buy another tractor or do an in frame overhaul. Either way me Maintenance fund will cover cost or down payment. An old timer told me that when I need to buy ONE tire always buy TWO if you can and start a stock of parts for your truck.
