Do not use the mailbox at the T.A. in laredo the mailman coes not pick it up I put mail in it monday and today (Thurs) it h as not been picked up. So I took my mail out walked to the pilot and put it in the regular U.S.P.S. big blue box for pick up.

I would like to see maybe mini postoffice in these ruck stops. Maybe like a mailbix express or the like. that way we could have regular service. You all know what I talking about because even a straight truck has trouble parking in some PO locations.
This would rsolve a lot of issues.

How do you remove mail from a post office box? Is it just left in the open? That alone is reason to avoid it.

What are you still doing in Laredo? Extended vacation?

a dispatcher friend of mine at another carrier says Laredo has cooled off again.....they are backed up to San Antonio down there...and the cheap freight is back!! Unless your carrier actually has some customers there.....

We were told by the manager at a Flying J that the postal service was removing the blue mailboxes from the truck stops. The reason: Too much transient traffic. ?????

The USPS has been removing mail boxes all over because of budget constraints. We discovered yesterday that the one that used to be at the Pilot in Memphis is no longer there.

Im fairly convinced that asking any truckstop employee about stuff like this...even the manager...is a waist of time. You can probably get just as accurate info at the liars table in the restaraunt.

We generally look up Post Offices on our GPS. One driver may drive around the block.
If two laning overnight its still easy to find the PO in a small town.
