I run with a carrier that I'll be done with here in short time... they should call themselves bid board express. ;)

Just to show you how low rates are $1850 wouldn't take a 2200 mile run today out of LA. My second bid was 1700 but it was too late by the time carrier called back customer.. Only going to run 30 more days at these rates then will look for a higher rate. ;) yeee haw

You're bidding under .80 cents and complaining about the rates ?

Word to the wise here. The other day I posted a cargo van load. I went with the carrier that bid over $1 a mile rather than one that bid .80 because I wasn't sure what kind of service I'd get from the cheap one.

Service and......proper insurance coverages. Often times, you get what you pay for.

Low rates in California can be expected in all of trucking after all there is around 25 million people

Last year I had a run from Marryville Tn to Sorona Ca. DH to LA CA and sat all week and couldn't even get a run out at 75 to 80cpm.

I was there for a whole week. DH all the way home to Tn. 2400 miles empty and no call coming back.

In the past 5 years, many of the more experience drivers in here that drive vans and sprinters, said------------ DO NOT GO west of "DALLAS" AND DO NOT GO TO "LAREDO".

That greed button will get you every time and your wallet...

Very much true. Ive never been to that part of the country. So I said let's go. It was nice on one hand but sucked on the other, lol.

It's not me here it is my carrier, how many times have I mentioned I'm on with a carrier that doesn't charge QC fees or have forced dispatch, for now it works but after 30 days I'm looking into running for someone else. The rates are low because vans are flooding the market, you have no idea who may be camping in a van hanging out for a load in the 75 mile radius. The carrier apparently is on FEDXCC list of trusted companies so I have no idea what it is... just slow in LA for now. Next week hopefully another story. :)

It is friday, do you want to run low and get a load or sleep in the sprinter for next 5 days?! Not same amenities as a $150K CLASS A. I'm near the beach now trying to beat the heat guess you couldn't do that in a Straight :)
