Looking for an owner with a Sprinter.

I have an ad on the classifieds,but having trouble finding someone who owns a Sprinter,who would be willing to pay for fuel,until I get afloat.Does anyone know who might have a Sprinter? Can anyone help me on this? Thank you !

With the sprinters fuel milleage your better off taking the 60% and FSC and paying for your own fuel unless your planning to do ALOT of deadheading.....then the owner won't want you anyway.

Very few owners will pay for fuel, for the very good reason that they have no control over how much of it you use. Some drivers can be incredibly waseful, between bad driving habits, getting lost, sightseeing, personal errands, etc. Perhaps you could drive for an owner who is with a carrier that will advance part of the load pay, to purchase fuel - I think that's a fairly common solution for new drivers. only a dumb owner would be paying for fuel. Like they said, the waste would be big. Most drivers screw onwers on this. Go into to a truckstop, and they are using the fuel money for everything but fuel or sell extra gallons for cheasper on cb.
Also they will never shut your truck off

My drivers get 45% on their com-Data card when they pick up (40% for vans I think) and that money is for them. They can buy fuel, hit the Wall-mart, do what ever they want to with it and when I get the settlement sheet every Thursday night I do the math and mail them the rest. I've never ran into it but I have told them that if they EVER call me or I find out they didn't have the money to buy enough fuel to get to a p/u they are fired, period!!
