Hello Everone, I just got laid off from the us forest service after working there for 5 years i drove a over 33,000 gvw truck everday and looking it to this ? is will anyone hire someone like me with no knowledge but have the lic to drive?????????

Start looking through the free classifieds here at EO and call and talk to some owners and just see what they are looking for.

This may be the start of another chapter in your life. As devastated as you are now, the future is bright in expediting! Your license and background in operating your vehicle in a safe manner is your ticket to earn in todays market place. I don't know if you realize how fortunate you are? There are people today whom lost there jobs recently and don't have a clue what to do. And the positive, you have a marketable skill! My recommendation is to drive for a fleet owner and test the waters. The only question I have is, how's your license and the reason for your job being terminated? This is none of my business. I just want you to be aware of the questions others may have. How is your credit score? I wish you luck and if this sounds like something you would be interested in, come on over to expediting! There is a real need today for quality drivers and owners! Your earning potential is only limited by your desire to work! And that ain't bad! Drive safe and be profitable!

Glen i lost my job due to the govenment not needing me anymore for my cdl i have never had a ticket nor a accident knock on wood so i'm ready to go....

If you have at least 2 years experience in that 33,000 GVW truck and a good driving record for the past 3 years, you can pretty much write your own ticket. I can't think of a company that wouldn't want to talk to you. Best Wishes - X

X1 I think that was a shot. No. I know that was a shot. I was trying to get them to call. Same thing you told them. I was just quicker on the trigger. They did not call anyway. So I guess I will just go back to my tree.
