For teams it is a major hot spot. Either pre-dispatched or wait a few hours. Not sure on singles during the week. Alot of long runs.
Anything that is pickup friday and deliver mon. you would be good on.

start heading north you made enough going down there to get a few tanks of fuel, to get out of texas and back into the shipping lanes.
The last time (and I mean the LAST TIME)I was in texas I dead headed 1650 miles to get home.I'll never go back. I've set in Loredo, and Dallas for a week before getting out. That was when I was new to this business. And dispatch not any help. you'er kinda on your own to make the decission as what to do

If you are fairly new you should get on the phone to your transition team contact. If you've already "graduated" from transition team you can call your driver coordinator but that probably won't be as helpful. Either way, call them and find out what position you are on the board and what they have seen in the last week to 10 days out of there. Good luck.

Please do not take this as personal it is only using a real life example to hopefully help others. I am sure you have learned already but it may help others.

Do not look at the big dollar signs to make you decision to take loads into areas you can not get out of. As it was pointed out above, 1650 miles empty to get a load. This is a bad idea to do more than once.

If you are going to accept a load like this one be sure you only do it with a prearranged load coming out. If this were a straight truck team I know it would get out but a solo cargo, ummmm ummmm proably not.

To the driver best of luck to you.
