Tb, not knowing how long you have been doing this and not knowing who you drive for or how your dispatch system works makes this kind of hard but stick with me..

Figuring you were not the # 1 unit on the board in Fort Riley but maybe #2...you moved to Kanas City, approx 125 miles away, why??? most dispatches are looking for freight out 100-150 miles from any given place...you were still within the circle from ft riley..chances are anything you would have gotten west of KC, you would have gotten if you had stayed in Ft Riley...yea you improved yourself on the east sde of KC, but that didn't happen or you wouldn't have moved to St. Louis...

The move to St. Louis at least was big enough to get you out of te KC circle and aybe should have been your 1st move instead of stopping in KC....

There is alot involved when deciding to move or for that fact when excpting a run in the 1st place....was taking the run that took you to Ft Riley really a good decision to begin with??? Is Ft Riley normally a good place to get freight out of for the carrier you are leased to? When you look at where to move, how do you make that decision?? Dispatch make that call?? whats it based on?? Did you can dispatch and ask where they had seen freight and didn't have truck coverage? How many loads a day does your carrier get out of the area you chose to move to???

Those are just a few things that come to mind....Moving shouldn't be hit and miss, there should always e a god reason and alot of thought into where to go....

LOL, now, if you are an old pro at this business, tell me to kiss off and i won't be ticked at all...if nothing else maybe a newbie will read this and figure I made some sense...

Ok i wont tell ya to kiss off.. But i have been doing this for a little while. ;) Coulnt turn the run down becase it was a really really nice one. 156 miles to K. C. then another 200 to St louis gave each place a couple of days. Kinda kicking myself for not moving the 350 miles in the first place
