I have asked Dreamer to give me a brief bio so we all could get to know him better...
My real name is Dale Gose, and I live with my wife and 2 children in a small town outside of Columbus, Ohio.
My first taste of expediting was in 1993, when I drove a truck for a friend who's driver quit unexpectedly. I spent a year with Roberts Express before my friend decided to part ways with them, and start his own contracting company. I've had a multitude of jobs including hauling anhydrous ammonia for a local farm co-op, car salesman, restaurant manager, customer service for a utility company, and even a bouncer for a while.
I came back to expediting in 2000, becoming one of the charter members of this site. I'm very proud of the fact that my submission was chosen to be the slogan used on the bumper stickers EO now uses.
I drove then for a gentleman leased to FedExCC, until he decided to retire and sell his fleet. At that time, I decided I would not drive again until I could have my own truck, so my future would not depend on anyone else's plans.
My plan was for that to happen this summer, but a personal medical issue has kept me off the road until I get it taken care of. I do keep updated on the expediting and trucking industry in general thru various trade magazines and sites I subscribe to, and thru contact with other drivers I know, and of course.. EO.
I'm very proud to be offered the chance to moderate on this forum.
