Have I told you how much I HATE Mayflies? They serve no purpose, they make a huge mess, and they taste horrible. I delivered in the Frenchtown area last night, and the building was covered with them.

I don't know which is worse, tornado, fire or flood damage. All are equally devastating.

It is hard for me to comprehend why people in areas like that don't relocate. After several tornados like that, I couldn't imagine living there, losing all of the things I would accumulate over through my lifetime, several times.I was talking to a Fed-Ex driver who did jut that after Katrina hit. He now lives in Michigan. He said he and his wife had enough of the hurricanes, and she found another job up north before they relocated. It's a tough decision, but I think well worth it in the long run.

I had a sweet round tripper the other day....mi to ct and back, 150# load...awesome! It is 12.5 miles longer to milford going across 287 than it is going through the g.w bridge, but I'll take the 287 way anyday!

because you can't run and hide from nature....you can be hit with a Tornado in Michigan just as easy ....or be left in the cold and freeze to death by a bad winter storm....IF the storm Gods are not on your side....
So everyone from the east coast and the Gulf should move inland?...people should move out of Cali?... ya just can't relocate people from Ks, Mo and Ok that easy...

I know what you are saying, but if is possible to move to a better area I'm d be out of there. That's why I love where I live. Decent temps in the summer and even though it snows for 3 months, it isn't that much. I'd rather shovel snow as opposed to coming home and wondering where my house went. We rarely get tornados there. I do feel for those people, however. So sad.

In the big picture how many are killed each year in Midwest tornadoes? I'm sure the quality of life the residents lead outweighs the risks. We tend to focus on major events with relatively few deaths versus daily dangers.
