But sometimes spending more can save a person so much in the long run.Cheaper is not always better.

Of course not but in five years I have replaced one windshield. I do pay to get chips fixed asap. It seems to be a lot like road hazard on tires I bet I bought that for 12 years and only used it one time.

There is always csi the thought of towing and those extras does sound nice.

I don't understand? We never did get free windshields....just had to pay the deductible ...under the comprehensive section?

Once again, a breakdown in the comprehensive reading process....lol...I never said "Free" windshields, but the windshield coverage....($100.00 deductable...)

Trust me it was a fight not have an increase. The sprinters were actually our biggest loss section. They are far more expensive to repair and they tend to take more damage then the bigger trucks with things like deer hits. The other interesting this was the NTL insurance. Most companies wanted to price this by vehicle size. The sprinters were the highest rate. Due to the fact they were more likely to be driven when not under dispatch versus a tractor.

Yes, the front end of a Sprinter is comparable to that of a waffle cone ice cream cone. Soft and collapsible...lol...so sad for such a nice vehicle...no front end protection.....Give me an old fashioned, steel bumper, full frame American vehicle anyday...May not be as smooth and aerodynamic as a Sprinter, but they are more durable, trouble free, and cheaper to maintain by far..Of course, that could change in light of the new Ford Transit arrival....

so there is no windshield replacement even with a deductible now?...we have to pay 100 %...on our own?

Correct might have to start cutting those hot dogs in thirds

LOL funny guy....at least a sprinter windshield at least an 05 is not that expensive anymore...and it is not like we replace them all the time....I can live with that, since our empty insurance rate did not increase...
In the words of Rev Guido.... Great job John of keeping your contractors costs low and mangable...Best carrier out here!!...Thank the Lord I am soooooo blessed....

BTW....My math says I am ahead of the game...A mere $5 a week increase is $260 a year plus the $100 deductible ..pays for a windshield....the $5 a week is better in my pocket then the insurance companies....that way I can afford my dash cam to record my crack that runs across the picture.....hehehe

LOL. Well I will tell anyone I think CIS does a great job and is top notch. They can't write a major fleet policy like ours or I would love to use them.

Well I am sure if you keep on scrounging for those pennies in the parking lot you may be able to save up enough money for :

A) A shower
B) A van wash
C) A paint job
D) A whole hot dog
E) all of the above

I'm bored and waiting for a load...still want to dance?....

You can make a lot more money a lot faster collecting the money off the ground at a coin operated toll booth. I waited behind one man as he pulled up short at a coin basket. He got out and collected just enough money to pay his toll.
