Load1 June chatter

Just came in from outside after sitting in the lawn chairs under the tree talking to a couple of real nice cargo van drivers from Fed Ex and Panther. It was nice as we shared each others ideas and knowledge with each other..real helpful. I
sat quietly as they started talking about their companies, the shortcomings they both have, the senseless rules as they were laughing...It was a friendly conversation, often humorous in tone, And yes, I even kept the pom poms at bay as I didnt say anything about load one...As difficult as it was.....just listened....

But as I sat there listening quietly, I silently thought to myself of their shortcomings, and how fortunate we all should be to work for Load One. Yes, Load One is not perfect, but close to it. EVERY COMPANY has it's ups and downs, which is expected. Often guilty of it myself, I guess we shouldn't get so caught up in the small petty things that bother us: it could be much worse. Let us be thankful for the things we have and move on in a positive manner, striving to be the best in every way we can.We have an awesome group of drivers here, that carry a wealth of knowledge and experience. It feels good to be with not only a great company that truly cares about us, and our well being, but great drivers as well...

Okay, I'm done now...lol..

That's the one that kinda looks like a log cabin on 84, right? That has always been a nice one to stay at, real relaxing.

That's the one. I noticed a no idleing by state law sign when I pulled in. Walking over to the store big trucks here must have no fear of drive through by authorities as a large number were idleing away even though the weather is great.

Sent from my Fisher Price ABC-123.

Amen to that. When the only real think that is irking me a little right now, is that for the last two weeks my PJ fuel sheet from payroll (email) comes across sideways. I'd say I'm pretty happy with load 1 :) Also, getting better at reading things sideways :p

I like it sideways makes it easier to read, IMHO

Might make it easier to read on a phone. But on a laptop or a desktop monitor, not so much.

But, if you use Acrobat Pro, you can easily rotate (and crop) individual pages.

This last week's settlement, the load details page was missing. Odd.

We had the prior two weeks of pay sheet come in funny also. One detail sheet for empty moves and layovers and such and another for loads and no pay amount on page one as normal. Don't care whether the fuel summary is sideways or strait but the old pay sheet was the best. Hope this isn't a new format.

Hope you all had a great day. Hope you got some daughter time today John!!!!

Funny what one comment on paperwork can bring out :p

My new project:

--After having my metal protective coating on my sprinter floor scraped up enough, along with it not being completely flat, I finally decided to install wood flooring. Tonight I stained it with red mahogany, looks nice but a little darker then I wanted. I had a brain fart thinking I was buying red cherry. I could flip it over and try again, will see how it looks in the morning.
