I will be going to orientation as soon as the truck is finished 3 rows of E track have purchased twelve E track straps for the ratchet straps or other securing devices. Have 10 two inch ratchet straps 15 feet and now I feel I should not have purchased the 1 inch ratchet straps. Can you suggest anything else I will need and how to secure loads. Also have a 3 point dolly, regular heavy duty convertable dolly, and a pallet jack. Having a metal ramp built for transfering loads, One last thing five alum load bars.

Hey you are off to a great start.Havent got much to add in suggestions except this. when securing a single skid,I like to put it in the middle of the truck, then take a strap and go around the skid returning to the same wall. then take another strap to the oppisite wall, again go around the skid and return to the same wall. This way the skid is frozen and cant moove in any direction.Eliminates the need for blocking and hammer and nails.

Are you comfortable telling us what carrier you are with? No problem if you are not. It's only our business if you choose to make it so. I'm just curious about what equipment carrier requires. FedEx CC publishes a list. Does your carrier do the same?

What we found is if you have a row of e track level with the floor we can put a bar in front and behind the skid...thus it goes nowhere.

Ooooh. Me likes this idea. I wonder if I can get 6' long load bars...

Off to find some E-track....

Great advice on securing the pallet with the ratchet strap. Did not have E track on the along the floor did want it ripped out by fork lifts. Thanks for all of your great answers. Please keep them coming.
