Load frequency

I think I remember someone inquiring about how often a "D" unit got loaded(the truck, not the driver!!). I just ran the numbers from 09/01/2003-07/08/2004, and came up with 2.7 days between loads. I
should point out that a lot of you would consider me to be "picky",
but I don't consider that an insult. I am selective about what trips I accept. Taking loads that won't make me a profit, or get me
to a location that will, aren't worth the effort. Anyhow, thought I
would share this bit of info with those of you that might be interested. As always, I look forward to your comments.

freightchaser,i for one would not call you picky.we are also very selective on the runs that we accept and decline.i just think that you have to be selective these days because there are more and more runs being offered that just do not make good business sense to accept. we are also more selective since taking delivery of a new truck in sept. that has an allison automatic in it. with the higher prices of fuel and the lower mpg's with the automatic,we just can't run as cheaply as we used to.bottom line is that you have to be able to determine what makes good business to accept and decline.DD.
