when putting a lift gate on your on your unit
you should get a lift gate that will handle large freight that is odd shape
most people get 3,000 lbs
you should get it at least 6,000 to 8,000 lbs
also not short lift gate that is 3,000 lbs and only 48'' or less
you need at least 8' lift gate , 2 part fold in half so when you take a pallet or odd shape piece off of unit you will do it in a safe matter
most of life gates i see make it hard to del because there not the right size
just my 2 cents

I'm thinking u were referring to other thread on Liftgates.

For 6-8000lbs capacity would have to be a railgate and most railgates block your back door so u would lower it to open the door every time needed or not.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't think I would want to be handling 6-8 thousand pounds, I KNOW my pallet jack could not, and even IF I could, I don't WANT too!

I did two 5500# pallets. No liftgate.
The third piece was a 10,000# capacity pj. It weighed 400 lbs.
