Legally Approved Holiday Greeting

Best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most joyous traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, but with respect for the religious persuasion of others who choose to practice their own religion as well as those who choose not to practice a religion at all;

Additionally,
a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the generally accepted calendar year 2000, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions have helped make our society great, without regard to the race, creed, color, religious, or sexual preferences of the wishes.

(Disclaimer: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)

And to those in the legal profession, I sincerely hope you fall in a vat of mongoose sh-t, and while you´re flailing away trying to stay afloat, I hope that one of us has the opportunity to throw you a greased lifepreserver ..or not.

Education is the best defense against the media.

The Lord's Prayer is 66 words, the Gettysburg Address is 286 words, there are 1,322 words in the Declaration of Independence, but government regulations on the sale of cabbage total 26,911 words.

Let us not forget prayer, Praying in any public building that may offend a non prayer may also resut in large dollar amounts for the first attorney on the scene who litigates over the offened non prayer.Praying should only be done in the privacy of your home with the windows shuttered as it may offend a non prayer who wanders bye and sees the prayer praying.

Prayer RE: Legally Approved Holiday Greeting

Rich; I'm not trying to pick a fight here.
What public building would you pray in?
A church, obviously.
A chapel in a hospital or funeral home.
In the middle of a mall? - If you want to.
In a truckstop? - If you want to.
In a restaurant?- Definitely...it's called Grace.

Who would get offended by the sight of someone making his(her) personal and private devotions?

On the other hand; if someone tries to force their religious views on me in a public place; I might find that distaseful.

Merry Christmas;
(not just Happy Holidays)

Well you can't pray in schools anymore. The court house is off limits,A Judge in Alabama was strippedof his Judgeship because of religiuos symbols.
Who gets offened, wow how about the guy in California that wants to take out the words "under God" in our pledge of allegiance. We in the US are at the point of being so politically corect these days,so we don,t offend anyone,it would make our founding fathers turn over in their graves.

I'm amazed that all over the world, and especially in the USA, that everone is sooo concerned about being politically correct and not offending anyone. That includes:

Muslims
Homosexuals
Anyone wanting an abortion
Abortion doctors
Athiests
People of different cultures
Socialists
Women's rights activists
The NEA
Environmentalists
Animal rights activists

But it is perfectly OK to call Christians names such as:

Religious fanatics
Kooks
Stupid
Holy rollers
Jesus freaks
Narrow minded
Ignorant

And to take away the rights of Christians to:

Pray in schools
Pray in public
Hold services or bible studies in our homes
Hold outdoor gatherings
Display religious symbols in a public place
Build churches on church owned property

But then again Jesus said in John 15:18, 19 & 21 "If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of this world, and because I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you. But all these things they will do unto you for my name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent me." In Luke 6:22 & 23 Jesus also said: "Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of Man's sake. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, for behold your reward is great in heaven, for in like manner did their fathers do unto the prophets."

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Amen, brother!
Our society has allowed a tiny but very vocal minority -- consisting of several even more tiny minorities -- to dictate what the vast majority of us must do and say and think -- and what we must avoid doing and saying and thinking.
And many of our courts and a large part of the remainder of our governments have actively taken part in the cultural highjacking of the majority.
Have we completely lost sight of the basic proposition that the majority is supposed to be in charge -- that the majority is supposed to make the decisions -- that the majority is supposed to call the tune?
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Not just "happy holidays" in that generic politially OK expression -- but MERRY CHRISTMAS -- a merry time during the season of our blessed, beautiful, and glorious Christian holiday!
Merry Christmas, everyone!

A BLONDE woman goes to the post office to buy stamps for Christmas.

She says to the clerk, "May I have 50 Christmas stamps?"

The clerk says, "What denomination?"

The woman says, "God help us. Has it come to this? Give me 6 Catholic, 12 Presbyterian, 10 Lutheran and 22 Baptists.
