Lawrence finally got some recognition

Lawrence McCord was given a certificate during the closing ceremonies of Expedite Expo 2006. I think it accurately represents the appreciation all expediters, not just forum members, feel about his contribution to our little corner of the surface transportation biz. I was able to get a bootleg copy of the certificate for publication here

The Expedite Expo has enjoyed an unprecedented growth each of the past six years and is testimony to your business acumen, knowledge of the industry and dedication to your fellow professionals.

Without EO we would still be working 60 hour weeks for 30 hours pay. This was our first stop back in November of 2003. Now we stop in on every run. Thanks Lawrence and Family get some rest and relish in your glory, you deserve it!

I remember when I first met up with Lawrence at the Matts show back in 1999. I was aware of the site but after meeting LM and his staff I thought to myself, "He is on to something and I hope it will grow". Well not only did it grow but it has been a tremondous service to our industry. We all owe him and Debbie plus JJ and his staff for all of their hard work and dedication for making EO what it is today.

Good words. Well chosen. Right on. Someone initiated the certificate idea before it was presented and crafted the words. Thank you to whoever did it. Saying thank you on behalf of the men and women of expediting is not pretentious at all. It is right on the money!

l mccord until he came along and started eo we were not take to serious on the road at truck stop and some of the people at fuel desk would say you have to wait until we take care of the real truck drivers, and along came l mccord and fix the problem and thanks so much

he is on my list to be first one in eo hall of fame

Congratulations Lawrence.
I just arrived at home today after three good and fun weeks of expediting. I jumped on the computer to catch up on all the news here on EOL. I saw this thread and realized how much help this web service has been to Robin and I.
First it taught us enough to know that this is the kind of business Robin and I would enjoy.
Second it educated us as to whom to lease on with.
Third I learned what kind and where we wanted to purchase our truck.
Fourth and on and on and on we continue to learn about all aspects of the business.
I guess what I am trying to say is Thank you very much Lawrence for starting this site it has been very instrumental to our business and our success in the business. Also thanks to everyone who post here in the interest of making expediting a fun and successful business.
