Lawmakers want FDA to crack down on soap makers

The soap in the photo [linked] looks exactly like what I recently got from eBeeHoney. The ingredients are listed on each bar, [Lavender Oatmeal]: saponified vegetable oils [olive, rice bran, coconut, organic palm & shea butter], goat milk, natural essential oil, [Moot says this is good oil, lol], oatmeal, natural vitamin E.
I had to look up saponified, it's basically lye, which is used to make hominy and lutefisk [both of which some people eat, though I am not one of them], so I don't think it poses much risk in a bar of soap.
My feeling is if you're buying something 'homemade', it's caveat emptor [buyer beware] all the way.

We have been using and selling our own soap for years now. With more and more people wanting to take back control of what they eat, use or buy for themselves or their loved ones. The big corporations or pharmicutical companies get a politician or two to help them with their cause. There is nothing that campaign contributions won't buy.
