last years rates

Hey guys i left fedex last year due to the falling rates to many 1.20 to 1.30 load offers and as a solo i could not run my straight truck to often at that rate. It was something that i hated to do because i really liked being leased to custom critical for the 4 years. Can you all tell me if they are still shooting out those low paying rates, are have they gotten back to the way it was. Thanks for your input.

Hummmmm 122 looks and no comments,So i guess i must assume that you guy's are still getting a lot of the low rate bids.

Still get stupid offers, still turn them all down. Rates are very good on our TVAL truck, up from last year. Short runs though. Don't have a clue what is going on with surface.

We run surface team.
Our rate per mile is up a little over last year.
We still get a lot of low paying load offers. Mostly "B" loads.
Our average run is 700 miles.
We have been busy so far this year.:)

Up, down, all over the place for my S/ts and it seems to be picking up now. But, here I'm thinking is a great opportunity to ask someone who's been there: Is the grass really greener? That's assuminjg you went to another company rather than dropping out altogether. Jack

Yes sir D team i went to another company, the only advantage i have now over custom critical is 95 percent of the loads that i run or over 800 miles as a solo and i average about a 1.60 per loaded mile, but for the most part the deadhead is all on me.

It would be hard for me to compare rates with a solo driver versus a team operation. I do know that overall my loaded pay is about the same, but my all miles is way up !!! I am very pleased with things the last couple of months and hope they continue.
