As someone who has been researching changing careers from an employed IT professional to the uncertain world of expediting, the workshop help me make the decision to make the jump. I did learn some new things and had a lot of the info on this board confirmed. Also, meeting some of the people whom post here a lot, and even advertise was also interesting. I espceially like the presentation from the Heath? from Middle Georgia FL, in Macon. Heath is the service manager and there was a very interesting dicussion on the proper PSI you should use for your steer tires. The nut shell was that running 100 PSI on your steers was probably too high, and that 94 or thereabouts, depending on weight and such, would increase the life of your steers by as much as 100%. Moiser from Knoxville FL also had some interesting info on trucks and the changes starting in 2007. Nutshell is, new EPA regs mean more $$$ to buy and service your truck. All the presenters had some good infomation, not just the two highlights. Dave K? also gave the down and dirty finanical needs to get properlly started, and that I found useful too. So, overall, learned some new things, got some freebies, and will be making the jump. Anyone need a good (if newbee) driver in a month or two?
