Metro Detroit's own Jack Kevorkian has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the death of Michael Jackson, and he's defending MJ's physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who has been the main target of the investigation of the singer's death.
In an interview with Neil Cavuto of Fox News, Kevorkian said of Murray: "I don't think he was malicious. Murder is defined by forethought. ... Did the doctor have forethought? I doubt it."
And of Jackson, Kevorkian -- who served eight years in prison for helping terminally ill patients die -- says: "The patient got what he wanted. He is the one who said yes or no to take a drug."
Wednesday's interview was the first national interview Kevorkian has given since being paroled in June 2007.
