I've heard that the buddy heater is the way to go when considering a portable heater. Going to look into getting one soon.

Did you get the big one? That's a lot of heater for your little space. Please say you got a c02 detector as well.

Leave both windows open about 2-3 inches, if you don't have one, get a GOOD ceiling vent /fan..a Fantasic or MaxAir vent/fan...install in over your bulk, open the vent, and run the fan on low...that will move the heat off the ceiling and laso bring in just enough cool/cold air to keep you from breathing that heated hot air...

Also if you didn't , get the Buddy "filter", the 12 ft hose and the use a 20 lb tank....makes lie alot easier...I carry 2 tanks all the time. when one runs out, its usually not a good time, so changing over is alot easier then going to fill the empty tank in the middle of the night after you were awoken by the lack of heat...

Thats a good idea cuz my bed is kinda tall. And the roof gets so hot. Whats the best place to get the vent. And yea i plan on getting atleast a 20 pound. My tank just ran out. Too grr

I run a buddy heater with a short grill hose that has the black twist on nosel, the filter and a 20lb tank that I get refilled at Tractor Supply for 15-17$. A month ago it was 7 degrees in WI and on full "power" it was a tolerable 30ish in the van. Of course the next day I was on my way to Laredo and have not used it since.

Call Don Bentz @ Bolt Custom Trucks [not the carrier Bolt] address is 4532 Allen Martin Dr, Ft Wayne, In - don't have the phone no. handy, but he'll do it quick & low cost. If you need it done elsewhere, most RV places will do it, but I bet it would cost quite a bit more.
I love having it [except when I forget to close it, drive off on a sunny day, & get caught in a sudden downpour - it's right above my bed
]
