Had a bad 24 hrs. Driving through Mississippi yesterday evening and it's like 95° and noticed the AC coming out of my vents was no longer cold. Then I woke up this morning soaked in sweat and realized the air coming out of my rooftop AC was no longer cold either. Not sure what the chances are of having both sources of my AC go out in less then 12 hrs but they did. Can't catch a break!

It's happened one or twice to me also, that's when you just pull out the CLC card find the closet hotel and start over in the AM

That makes sense, however not to be an azz. Since this is an expeditors forum and most if this forums posters are either sprinter or straight truck owners/drivers, shouldn't any buisness information relate to our division?

Its frustrating to read posts from other known expeditors and read posts of issues like lengthy layovers, freight slowdowns and such only to be told of things that aren't effecting us.

This is after all where we exchange information that is hopefully helpful to other expeditors or glean information that helps us make decisions on load locations, area issues and the like.

Just my 2 cents

I'm very happy that load ones other divisions are doing so well!

A rising tide floats all boats, so they say.

Its all in one perspective, both of my straight trucks have had a good week. On the same note, there have been times when I sat here reading how well everyone doing and ask myself who I made mad.

The best I can do is use all information I can get. Then look at the last 90 days as a whole. Over all things are getting better, there are still dead spots. There will be times when wrong place wrong time come into play. But from everything I'm seeing and hearing from friends in the all segments of the industry, I have high hope for the second part of the year.

Have a great rest of the weekend all

Exactly. A lot of ways to look or judge the metrics....none tells the whole story.

At Home. I was definitely on the busy side this week. After a slow start, was running my butt off. Right place and time was really on my side. I haven't been this exhausted in years

Well being expedite and hand in hand expedite brokerage are our largest divisions the "general" view tends to be most effected by expedite. Honestly I wasn't looking to come on here In a public forum and do some kind of detailed daily analysis??? Again it is the general perspective of what I am seeing from a higher holistic view. It may or may not effect your truck. I have seen slow weeks where some units have great weeks and vice versa. I could say expedite had a great week. Well does that mean sprinters or straights? Load count or revenue? Sit time or ?

Again I made a statement based on some factors. I wasn't filing a quarterly report statement.

It's just been a strange year "period" rates are lower then most of us have ever seen, freight volumes are up and down like a roller coaster. It will probably be this way through years end at least. We just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope we can make it through collectively. There, no need for a quarterly statement, I just gave a yearly one.

Thanks for the feedback but I never stated that "truck specific updates or frigg'n detailed daily reports similar to a damn quarterly report."
Was needed or required.

If someting is posted that it might be revelent to us, that was it.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend.

On my way home to spend some quality time with my wife and daughter.
The first half of this year is done for me and in the books. Still have to analyze the numbers but it looks like it was a little bit worse than the first half of the last several years. Hopefully freight will be running strong the second half of this year.

I will handle the quarterly reports on this thread from now on. Right now I know that four of them equal a dollar and that's how much I hope my next load pays per mile. Or more of course!

It was like 2008 or 9 for freight volumes. I am very confident the second half of the year will keep going up. Enjoy the time with that little one.

Dryer at the yard not working properly. 45 minutes to dry, and clothes still as damp as when I put them in. At the laundromat. Yes, the lint filter was free and clear of lint. The best machine for the yard laundry application would be an old school Maytag washer and dryer with knobs, not push button electronic keyboard. ..tried, trused, proven and reliable. Built to last. And inexpensive as well.
