Relaxing at the campground in the A/C......another hot and muggy one down here....This is the kind of environment that I could not live in....give me a nice, cool, less humid environment any day!

Got ahold of dispatch thru the Qualcomm of course and they told me to hang out for a bit. Now the waiting game begins. LOL

Today is my 5th year anniversary with Load 1.
It has been an interesting ride.

And for old times' sake....

Dispatch called me for a load that they had. Called me to see if I was interested and I said yes. The only problem was it had to be pick up by 5pm. With heavy traffic I just didn't feel/think that I would make it. Thanks Dispatch for trying. That's all I can ask for!
I got a load out of New Jersey Friday with the same pickup time that delivered in Joplin, Mo. If that was yours, thanks. It turned a bad week into a good one. Plus I got out of Delaware on it. Been sitting in Memphis area since last night and it has been pretty quiet.

Top of the morning to you all ! Hoping today is the day for a good load taking me up north into the cooler weather, but not limited to that area. This is not the time of year to be picky about destinations. Mid 90's and humid for today down here in Georgia....I hope everyone is staying cool, safe, and loaded.

Nogales, AZ was dead (imagine that) so we relocated ourselves to El Paso. No sense in waiting another 24 hours with little hope of getting a load out of there.

It's 10am and humid as heck in toledo.

Walked out to the van around 9:30am in Port Huron and thought the same thing. Yuck, to early to feel like this, made me wish I didn't cancel my plans to get a generator.

Time for a shower

That's what I thought. After I came back inside, decided to take a nice cool shower. Home Alone, Mid shower and my burglar alarm goes off, sirens screaming. Near by keypad says Entry Alarm was triggered. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't totally freaked out at this moment.

After some scary investigating with the alarm company on the phone. I gave the all clear.
Turned out to be a bizarre false alarm. Apparently, yesterday when I had an electrician over doing some work. I opened a window blind and window to give him more light. Somehow, I managed to loosen the entry senor on the window enough that today it just feel off, at that moment, triggering the alarm.

After thoughts:

1-Even though it scared the crap out of me, I'm glad I was home to deal with it.
2-In this instance, If I had a gun, I couldn't have got to it.
3-If police would have responded, they may have been a bigger threat to me then a burglar

Dry and dusty here in El Paso. Going to be 104 today. Getting loaded out of here today would be great. Doesn't matter what the temp is outside if we are moving.
