It's County Fair Time

If by chance you get a chance to go to a local country fair when you're parked for the weekend, I urge you to do it. Just came back from seeing all the exhibits and snagging a pretty good lunch. Think I'll be entering a few exhibits next year. My eggplant was about 40 times the size of the one I saw down there. (pinkie versus forearm).

Good idea Juju!

Also, as the Fall season is quickly coming upon us, a lot of small towns have festivals that are worth checking out.

These festivals celebrate everything from Firemen, soybeans, tomatos, fish fries...um.. even moonshine.. LOL.. and our local one The Circlevile Pumpkin Show The Official Circleville Pumpkin Show Website (the greatest free show in the world of course! LOL)... our family has had a big part in it for over 25 years, as my brother has been the major displayer of pumpkins, etc, including the trademark pyramid.

Seems like a small thing to some people I"m sure, but around here, it's a pretty huge festival, and a big part of town history.

It's always cool to check out the local 'color' when laying over.

You are so right Dale! When we lived in Canada, one of our favorites was the peach festival in Stoney Creek. I really love the local flavors...and the peach ice cream was to die for...:)

Wow you've gotta have THE biggest pumpkin pie..got my mouth watering now. I think that would be just a dandy place to be in October.
