You all asked for it, now it has been announced.
When we need less regulations and need less involvement from the Fed - the administration is proposing an overhaul of the financial regulations across the board.
The proposal includes giving the federal reserve more power when they need to have less, a super agency like homeland security that will oversee business conduct and consumer protection with the SEC rolled into it, create an office of federal mortgage origination commission that will get the government more involved with he mortgages and create an office of insurance which will bring the insurance industry under the control of the feds within the treasury department.
Does the department of homeland security really work?
Do you feel confident that the feds can actually help and fix things?
Well I am now counting the days to the election, because if we have these FDR type 'reforms', we are in serious trouble.
No one is mentioning the need to prop up the dollar.
If you do think these are good changes, I feel sorry for you. If we return back to the 1930's way of thinking that an expanded is best for all, think again. Read The Forgotten Man - the book and The Forgotten Man - the Essay to see what happened to us.
