Isn't it kind of Ironic?

I'm reading the little news bit;

Feds: Michigan will qualify for high-speed rail money

And it is ironic that this has come up at the "North American International Auto Show" of all places.

This is a twisted region, we don't have real use of our public transportation system because of the misplaced pride in the Motor City and more or less people don't want to be tied down to anything that makes them less independent because they think it is a right to own a car or receive money from the government while working at a car company.

I go to the show every year, will be there this Sunday Funny, they are pushing public transportation at the auto show LOL

Maybe they're just worried that if they make it easier to get out of Michigan, folks won't come back.

Well it is no where near the quality as say the LA show or the Chicago or NY show. Those shows are not hosted in a war zone. It is international so I would think it would be a better show than it is but it ranks up there with the Paris Book Sellers market and the Frankfort Sausage Convention but nothing like the Paris or Frankfort Auto shows which are very good to attend. I boycott the show because my tax money it subsidizing it and it should be free to the public.

I always thought the Detroit show was the best, been to the LA show, never been to the Chicago show
