GM Is expanding its Plant in Wentzville MO and adding another shift and hiring almost 3000 workers near St Louis Mo, Im not sure well ever get it back but If we can keep and rebuild a few key manufacturing plants especially in Computers/Chips were already having issues with Counterfeit parts showing up in Military systems made in CHINA, Who was the fool who thought they could let the Chinese Build Military parts and they wouldnt copy, disable, or build less then spec ????
We dont need ANY more NAFTAS/CAFTAS but if they are going to exiist then VAT and Tariffs should be used anywhere a FAIR TRADE IMBALANCE does exist.....Lets Pray Gentleman that someone wakes up and puts an end to the GREED...

OK It started with a 'K' I admit I wasn't listening in the little presentation.
BUT here is the problem that many may not get - expanding production with labor in mind as in the UAW thing may be a problem if things get worse. When the modern companies like Toyota and Honda setup manufacturing, they try not to use labor as the base of their production - meaning they don't have the union demanding to hire numbers for the needs of the union. BUT Ford, GM and Fhrysler does and if the market takes a downturn then these union jobs are on the line and we end up bailing them out again. Toyota and Honda announced yesterday that they are up to pre-disaster levels, which means they may be poised to regain the lost market share that GM was so proud they got this past year. With things like the "Volt" not selling, and GM still depending on SUV/PU truck sales to make it, if we hit another snag in the road with gas prices, they will again be crying again like they did when gas prices were headed up. Funny though, all three of these companies support higher gas prices through increased taxes.
