Just wondering what it would be like Wednesday through Friday in St Louis area and if anyone has any suggestions on where to sit?

Worst case scenario you wait and day and move into Chicago.

Guess the answer is no, about 5 more hours to find out, then the wheels are spinning towards Chicago. The land of promise! :)

There is CV freight out of St. Louis. Got a pretty good one out of there on Tuesday.

St. Louis ain't what it used to be. Nor is Kansas City, Tulsa, Wichita, Little Rock, Memphis, Dallas, Houston, etc. Matter-of-fact seems these days nowhere is like it used to be. IMHO.

It appears so, but the New World Odor, and the buildup/moving of companies to China and elsewhere is probably taking its toll on many types of shipping these days. Just remember to check your labels in stores on where things are made and then all of us will see why. GM, depending on what you read is a big deal in China these days and not many expediters will be in China hauling parts around, well not yet anyway.

Clothing, furniture, tools, etc are almost if not ancient history to be made in the USA. The next time you are in a Bass Pro Shop, read the labels, it is sad.

Car-hart clothes I think come from Vietnam , so does some of our furniture, check out Big Lots too. That cheap brown furniture is all over the place with a dark red vein that
runs through the wood on the inside, snaps really easy....Kohls clothes - brought to you by our old buddies,,,,,yes- the Viet Cong, you gotta love Southeast Asia.

I agree a lot of stuff is made in China but I don't think anyone expedites skids full of Carhartt jackets... maybe I'm wrong. I'm sure there are some supply chain big rigs that do.

Im think his thoughts are more in the line of more manufacturing here leads to more equip moving. trickle down effect would help,,A box of bolts here,,A elecrtic motor there,,a die that needs to be rebuild over night.. Just never know maybe Carhart would need a sewing machine brought in.
I agree look for the label when possible. Its getting harder but ever little bit just may help.
