Andrew Como is proposing that the personal possesion of up to 25 grams or 8/10 of an ounce of canibis to be reduced from a mistemenor that carries up to a year to a violation that carries an appearence ticket and a 100 dollar fine.
Currently it is leagal to have it on your person as long as it stays in your pocket, pull it out and it is a crime.
Now, it is not legalizing it outright, it is simply saying if you get shook down by a cop and it shows up when you turn out your pocketts they can only give a ticket and not arrest you so smoking a bowl or joint while walking down the street will still get you in trouble.

As expected, all the uptight puritians who belive in prohibition are up in arms and screaching "but we have a war on drugs" that is a total failure and has led to wasted money with nothing to show but, more drugs more gangs, needless violence and bloodshed. You know the same crowd that finds the alarmingly high mortality rate from perscription medications normal.

Im an independant conservative that belives in freedom
I think maby Andrew Como should replace Robert Duffy with Tommy Chong as leutennant/ vice govoner.

I personally think its time they legalize Pot/Hemp and allow people to grow and cultivate for personal consumption, under 25 grams deciminalized is going to save the country money, Jails cost far more then a ticket, a fine or possibly a Tax Stamp that would earn the country money, Some say Drugs who needs it but POT has been around since before booze, and we all know what Al Capone did with Booze, Look what Mexican Drug Lords are doing with Pot, decriminalize it, those guys overnite go out of business, and the country gets a huge new tax revenue.

Personally I gave up the use of any drug when I decided to drive a truck and I dont believe anyone should operate a truck, vehicle, boat etc while under the influence, but if Im in my back yard, BBQ ing some steaks and I wanted to partake it should be legal, its going to be used by millions of people every year, its time to TAX and Legalize it, keeping pot smokers out of jails and running up huge costs for someone who simply wanted to relax just as if they were having a beer or margarita.

I have no problem changing the laws for pot. As far as the Mexican drug gangs it wont change that much they are involved in more drugs than just pot and more than just drugs.

I find it odd that he decided to pick 25 grams, it is an odd amount when you think of the quantities pot is sold in.

Yep, no handguns, a billion spent registering all others, confiscating land, hunting an fishing guides and lodges being put out of business. No oppression there.

Must have a need to get high, good thing it is legal.
